Conclave for the Leading Members of the Widows Ministry
Widowhood for many is a very challenging phase of life marked with grief, loneliness, and a feeling of insecurity. That is why God has a special place in His heart for them. There are several instances in the Bible where He commands people to take care of widows and see that they do not suffer any injustice. Such is God's love for widows. Many of the widows in the ACJM have come to experience God's love and care as a result of listening to His Word and meeting together to share their widowhood experiences. Slowly the need was felt to start a Widows Ministry so that many others could have the same experience. Spiritual formation is given to the leading members of the ministry from time to time in the form of conclaves. A conclave was organised for the leading members of the Widows Ministry of the ACJM in North Goa on the 21st and 22nd of March 2024.
Core Conclave for the Leadership of the Intercession Ministry
The Intercession Ministry of the ACJM can be likened to a generator supplying power to a big factory. The history of the ACJM has shown that its performance and growth are very much dependent on prayer and that is where the intercession ministry comes into the picture. Prayers are also raised to heaven for the number of intercession requests coming regularly through the prayer hotlines. Prayer chains are activated the moment a call is received. Also, spiritual guidance through counseling is provided to those who ask for prayers. All this requires the spiritual formation of the members of this ministry. Recently, a conclave was organised for the leadership of the Ministry in North Goa from 22nd March to 24th March 2024.
MONTH OF APRIL 2024
Conclave for Members of the Boys Cell
As part of the ongoing spiritual formation for the Youth of the ACJM, a conclave was organised for the members of the Boys Cell from 7th to 9th April 2024 in North Goa. Such youth-oriented conclaves strengthen the young blood of the ACJM and empower them to go out into the challenging world and become witnesses to Christ.
Retreat for Married People
The Christ Every Home Crusade (CEHC) ministry in collaboration with the Young Married Hearts (YMH) ministry of the ACJM organised a day-long retreat for married people on 14th April 2024 at St. Joseph Vaz Renewal Centre in Old Goa. The retreat was based on the topic, 'Overcoming storms of Married Life with JESUS', and consisted of biblical talks, testimonies, praise and worship and group discussions.
On the sidelines of the retreat, special 'Bible-based Activities' were organised for the children of the retreatants.
As part of the follow-up of the retreat for married people, an online session is fixed on 2nd May 2024.
Retreat for Advanced Crusaders
The 'Advanced Crusaders' ministry is a community within the (ACJM) Crusaders family whose members are above 50 years old and up to their 90s. This new ministry was born in ACJM just last year in July and has been growing fast with many couples, widows, and singles of that age group finding their home & spiritual comfort there.
On April 20-21, the Advanced Crusaders held their first 2 days residential retreat at Pallotti Home. The response surprised the organising team as many from outside the Crusaders family attended it and profited much from the talks, the group discussions, the fellowship, and the joy of getting to know each other. The Advanced Crusaders thus greatly multiplied in numbers.
Retreat for Confirmation Students
The Crusaders conducted a 2-day evening retreat on the 23rd and 24th of April 2024 for confirmation students of the Maina Curtorim Parish at the behest of the parish priest.
Core Conclave for the Leadership of the Konkani Movement
A conclave was organised for the leadership of the Konkani movement of the ACJM in South Goa on 26th and 27th April 2024. The movement has members from various parts of Goa. Meetings are held online as well as offline.
