On invitation of the local parish priest, Crusaders made forays deep into the heart of the rural Collem, a parish in the interior reaches of Goa and at the foothills of the Western Ghats. The teams from the Crusaders went door to door speaking to all who lent a listening ear about the love of God and leading families in prayer besides exhorting them to a stronger sacramental life. The week long campaign would witness gatherings of the village folk in a little chapel for an evening program of praise and worship and preaching apart from the counseling sessions provided to those in need. The culmination was a full day retreat at the parish church of Our Lady of Piety which kindled a renewed desire in the people of the parish to live a life pleasing to God.
