8th Aug, 2025: A 3-evening online retreat in Konkani concluded with close to over 200 participants joining in via Zoom to participate in the sessions. The retreat began on 5th Aug till 7th Aug, each evening for 2 hours.
The theme of the retreat ‘If you only knew what is needed for peace, but now you cannot find it’ (Luke 19.42),the piercing words of the Lord Jesus, was expanded in detail with speakers explaining the profound depth of this verse. Talks dealt with the connection between faith and worry along with fear. It was pointed out convincingly that the antidote to the countless worries one has to deal with surmounting often into a paralysis of fear, is just this – Faith in a Saviour who has promised to be with with His people till the end. This succeeded in raising the thoughts of those participating to divine heights, with subsequent sessions dealing with how one can have the ultimate God experience by overcoming the 3 mountains of sin, unforgiveness and idolatry. The speakers on the concluding evening emphasised the need for the Spirit to be in control, if one sincerely desires to blossom in holiness. The talks were enriched with divine hymns and life conversion testimonies providing a spiritual feast for the many souls from the Konkani speaking community across Goa hungering for God. They were able to have this experience from the comfort of their own homes. A follow-up in-person gathering is fixed now for 10th Aug with all retreatants coming together to invoke the healing touch of the Lord on them & their families.
