31st Aug, 2025: The Intercession Ministry of the ACJM undertook a spiritual nourishment program, bringing in seasoned intercedors from the three zones(Vasco,Margao,Panjim) and fresh faces who desire a life of intercession.

The retreat themed “There is more happiness in giving than in receiving” (Acts20:34), spanned over a period of 46days, conducted in a staggered fashion, to ensure working people, the retired and homemakers would have adequate time to reflect on the teachings given by Brother Edmund Antao, who presided over the 5 online sessions and graced the fourth follow-up which was held on 31 August 2025 at Pallotti Home, Chicalim.

The teachings commenced with “What is pray?” However trivial, it may appear, the participants were led to a deeper understanding into dialoguing with God, the power of intercession and God’s lingering complaint, “I looked for someone …who would…stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.”

Bro. Edmund dwelt on the topic, “What Does The Lord Want At This Time In World History?” The world is at sixes and sevens, can God count on a chosen few to walk the footsteps of Abraham and all the prophets of old, to speak the language of friendship (Exodus 32:32),“…please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.”

Lively praise-worship, holy Eucharistic celebration, powerful virtual and live testimonies, emotive adoration, a sumptuous lunch and an engaging group discussion fanned the spark of intercession. The retreatants journeyed home with the thought, if imperfect St. Peter, could experience a transformation so can I, “In the last days…I will pour out my Spirit on all people.”(Acts2:17)
